Surveillance

In an Integrated pest Management (IPM) program, surveillance plays a very important part. Surveillance data will dictate when, where, and what kind of treatments are necessary so we can limit the use of pesticides as much as possible. Another very important aspect of surveillance is collecting the mosquitoes that we trap and testing them for viruses. This enables us to monitor and track any virus present and keep the public notified.
